Bill Lafferty and Michael Houghton Selected to Delaware Business Times Delaware 222
Delaware Business Times has selected Morris Nichols partner Bill Lafferty and of counsel Michael Houghton for inclusion in its inaugural “Delaware 222” list. The Delaware 222 is a new annual year-end publication that recognizes Delaware’s most impactful business, nonprofit, and civic leaders.
Bill has been the chair of the firm’s executive committee since 2021. His practice concentrates on cases pending in the Delaware Court of Chancery and Delaware Supreme Court, as well as matters in the federal court both in Delaware and in other jurisdictions. A “lifelong Delawarean,” he “supports his alma mater through serving on the University of Delaware’s Board of Trustees.” He told DBT his advice to his younger self would be to answer the door when opportunity knocks. “Those early opportunities will lead to more opportunities in the future as you grow professionally.”
“For decades,” Mike has “built an expert practice at Morris Nichols on unclaimed property and regulatory and legislative matters.” Active in board leadership roles, Mike serves as counsel to the Board of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce and is a former board member, and serves on the Board of the Delaware Public Policy Institute, the Pete du Pont Freedom Foundation, Artesian Resources Corporation, and the Rockefeller Trust Company of Delaware.
The list of all the Delaware 222 honorees is available on the Delaware Business Times website.
