From March 10-13, 2024, the Unclaimed Property Professionals Organization holds its annual conference in Las Vegas, NV. Three Morris Nichols partners will co-present panels spanning two days.
Kate Betterly will co-present the panel, “Talk Legal to Me” during the March 11 afternoon panel. This session will explore legal concepts and terms common in unclaimed property, including Kovel agreements, private escheat, derivative rights, and anti-limitations clauses, to gain an understanding of key issues frequently at the heart of litigation and enforcement disputes.
On March 12, Jason Russell will co-present the morning panel “State Spotlight – Mergers & Acquisitions.” Discussion topics include what tools can be provided to executive leadership in advance of a corporate action and Delaware’s M&A VDA program.
Donna Culver will co-present the afternoon panel “Litigation Update.” This session will provide a current snapshot of recent decisions and pending litigation affecting unclaimed property administration and enforcement.
