37th Annual FIRMA National Risk Management Training Conference
The Fiduciary & Investment Risk Management Association hosts their 2024 National Conference from April 29 to May 2, 2024 in New Orleans.
On April 30, 2024, Morris Nichols trusts and estates attorney Zach Haupt co-presents, “A Trustee’s Jambalayas: Savor the Full Flavor of Trending State Trust Laws.” Similar to a good New Orleans’ Jambalaya, a mix of ingredients and laws impact the administration of a trust by a corporate trustee, and they vary from state-to-state. This session focuses on three core ingredients of trust administration: providing for the benefit of the beneficiary, managing the risk of the fiduciary, and achieving flexibility to accomplish both benefit for the beneficiary and management of the fiduciary’s risk. Speakers will provide insights and practice pointers for the sometimes spicy management of risk in trust administration.
