Scott is an associate with the Bankruptcy & Restructuring group.
His practice concentrates on corporate restructuring, both in court and out of court, and bankruptcy litigation. His experience includes assisting in the representation of debtors, debtors-in-possession, creditor committees, and liquidation trustees.
While in law school, Scott gained experience as a bankruptcy intern to the Honorable Kevin J. Carey of the US Bankruptcy Court, District of Delaware, and as a judicial intern to The Honorable Jan R. Jurden of the Delaware Superior Court. In 2018, Scott was named a Melvin Lashner Scholar for his outstanding achievement in bankruptcy law.
Prior to his career as an attorney, Scott was a police officer with the Wilmington Police Department. He spent most of his 20-year law enforcement career as an investigator, Sergeant, and Lieutenant within the Criminal Investigations Division. He also served as the Executive Officer of the Uniformed Services Division. Scott received citations for his actions as a police officer and was recognized for his work within the community. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Wilmington Police and Fire Federal Credit Union.
