PLI’s Hot Topics in Mergers & Acquisitions 2024

On September 9, 2024, the Practising Law Institute hosts their annual, day-long conference on Hot Topics in M&A. The program will discuss what is driving the current market, how has the current M&A market affected strategies and approaches to dealmaking, how companies should be preparing for hostile takeovers and how to best position boards through a review of strategic alternatives.

Morris Nichols partner Patricia Vella will serve as program faculty and co-present the morning session, “Inside the Boardroom: Advising Directors Reviewing Strategic Alternatives.” Discussion topics include:

• Fiduciary duties and Delaware law framework (including recent Delaware law updates)
• How M&A advisors can assist the board in achieving best outcomes defense tactics against hostile M&A
• How to best-position boards through a review of strategic alternatives.
