Lex Machina 2018 Hatch-Waxman ANDA Litigation Report Shows Morris Nichols Leads Law Firm Activity

Wilmington, DE (May 2, 2018) - Today, Lex Machina released its 2018 Hatch-Waxman ANDA Litigation Report. In its law firm analysis, the study reported, “Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell is the top law firm representing plaintiffs in ANDA district court litigation for cases filed in 2016 and 2017.”

Relying on Lex Machina’s legal data platform, the annual study reveals the latest trends in FDA Paragraph IV pharmaceutical patent litigation in the United States. Morris Nichols was listed as the leading plaintiffs firm by ANDA cases filed in 2016 and 2017 with 218 cases (Figure 18). That’s nearly 30% of the 741 total cases filed in the same timeframe and a reflection of the firm’s status as a patent litigation powerhouse.
