Law360: These Firms Landed the Most Patent Litigation Work in 2020

Law360 reported on the US law firms with the most district court litigation filings in 2020. Relying on data from Lex Machina, statistics show patent litigation remained strong despite the COVID-19 crisis.

Morris Nichols uniquely appeared on rankings for both the defendants’ and plaintiffs’ side, as it has in previous years. Partner Michael Flynn attributed the firm’s achievement to its focus on work in Delaware, serving both clients and co-counsel alike.

“We’ve got a good strong bench, we know our judges and their preferences very well — and I think more importantly, our judges know us,” Flynn said. “That helps us be able to provide some unique feedback for our clients in the best way from a strategic standpoint to litigate cases in Delaware.”
