Law360 Analysis Places Morris Nichols Among Busiest Patent Litigation Practices
Wilmington, DE (September 29, 2015) - Yesterday, Law360 released its mid-year analysis of the most-hired law firms in U.S. patent litigation. The report found an “uptick” in workload overall and ranked “Delaware-based law firm powerhouse” Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP fourth on its list of “Busiest Patent Defense Firms” with 43 cases as defense counsel and twelfth on its list of “Busiest Patent Plaintiff Firms” with 52 cases as plaintiff’s counsel.
The firm’s presence in the rankings demonstrates Morris Nichols’ strong reputation with clients and co-counsel when litigating patents in the District of Delaware - “the country’s second-busiest patent jurisdiction,” according to the report.
Morris Nichols executive committee chair and IP partner Rodger D. Smith told Law360, “We have a deep bench of talented lawyers. We are able to staff and properly represent a large number of clients, and we’ve built on our prior success by continuing to recruit high-quality lawyers and train them on the practices of Delaware.”
The Law360 report examined representations in cases filed between January 1 and June 30, 2015. Read the full article on law360.com, available here.
