Eric Klinger-Wilensky Appointed Chair of ABA Private Equity and Venture Capital Committee
Wilmington, DE (September 12, 2016) - Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP partner Eric S. Klinger-Wilensky has been appointed chair of the American Bar Association’s Private Equity and Venture Capital Committee.
As part of the ABA’s Business Law Section, this committee has an international base of more than 2000 members. Eric started his three-year term at the conclusion of the ABA Business Law Section Annual Meeting in Boston from September 8 to 10, 2016. In this leadership role, he aims to continue expanding the membership and offerings of the Committee.
Eric has served in ABA leadership roles in the past, as vice-chair of the PE and VC committee and co-chair of the Two-Step Merger Agreement Task Force. He is a current member of the Section of Business Law Envoy Program. As a partner in the Morris Nichols Corporate Counseling group, his work often involves counseling corporations and special committees in the context of potential transactions, aiding corporations and investors in structuring capital investments, and advising generally on corporate governance issues. He also provides corporate-related advice in the context of transaction and governance litigation, and has been involved in a number of key M&A and other corporate opinions issued by the Delaware courts over the past decade.

The mission of the Committee is to leverage its diverse, active and experienced U.S. and international membership, and relationships with other Business Law Section Committees, to provide a unique and highly educational forum for private equity and venture capital practitioners of all experience levels to exchange views and information on current and emerging legal and practical issues, trends and developments and practice considerations of specific interest or relevance to private equity and venture capital funds, and their investment transactions, portfolio companies and investors.
