Docket Navigator Year in Review 2015 Names Morris Nichols Among Top Firms in District Court Patent Cases
Wilmington, DE (February 19, 2016) - This week, Docket Navigator released its 2015 Year in Review of U.S. patent litigation. The annual report analyzes data on patent litigation cases and administrative proceedings to highlight trends in the patent landscape.
In Docket Navigator’s breakdown of U.S. district court cases, Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP appears on the list of “Top Patentee Firms” both by number of new patent cases (139 in 2015) as well as number of “litigation milestones” (63 in 2015). This metric measures events that mark meaningful progress in a patent litigation proceeding such as claim construction, summary judgment, entry of a damage award or injunction, trial.
The report also included Morris Nichols among “Top Accused Infringers Firms”, appearing in the top five firms by number of new patent cases (97 in 2015) and litigation milestones (180 in 2015).
In addition, firm attorneys Jack B. Blumenfeld, Maryellen Noreika, Stephen J. Kraftschik and Jennifer Ying were mentioned in the study among top attorneys by number of cases for accused infringers and patentees.
The findings demonstrate Morris Nichols’ standing as a top patent firm in the industry and a powerhouse in cases before the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.
