Bill Lafferty Elected Fellow of American College of Trial Lawyers
Wilmington, DE – March 8, 2011 – Bill Lafferty, Morris Nichols Corporate and Business Litigation Group partner, has been inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. The College is widely considered to be among the most prestigious legal associations in America, with Fellowship extended by invitation only to those trial lawyers with a minimum of 15 years trial experience who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. The induction occurred at the College’s Annual Spring Meeting in San Antonio, Texas, with over 500 attending the ceremony.
Bill’s trial experience spans more than 20 years and involves corporate and commercial litigation, with an emphasis on cases involving mergers and acquisitions, proxy contests and consent solicitations, and shareholder class and derivative actions in the Delaware Court of Chancery and Delaware Supreme Court. Bill also advises corporate clients and boards of directors with respect to litigation and transactional matters. He is the third Morris Nichols Corporate and Business Litigation Group lawyer to be inducted to the College, joining of counsel A. Gilchrist Sparks III and partner Ken Nachbar.
