Corporate Litigation Paralegal
Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP seeks a full-time Paralegal to support its Corporate Litigation practice group. Paralegals at Morris Nichols perform a variety of attorney-and client-support activities, some of which are universally required in all practice groups and others of which are practice-group specific. This is a full-time position working a minimum of 35 hours per week. This position often requires overtime. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compiling, preparing and summarizing written materials for use by attorneys in all phases of corporate litigation;
- Drafting of routine court documents for attorney review and approval;
- Maintaining case files and tracking/managing document discovery;
- Updating and otherwise managing attorney calendars with particular attention to court dates and other relevant case-related deadlines;
- Indexing, tracking and otherwise controlling exhibits and other materials for depositions, hearings or trials;
- Performing general administrative support functions as needed to meet deadlines and further the objectives of the practice group.
Education/Experience:
- Three-five years of paralegal experience in a law firm is required.
- Familiarization with Delaware and/or federal courts is strongly preferred.
- Paralegal certificate or bachelor’s degree in relevant field. Comparable experience may be substituted for educational requirements
- Established expertise in Microsoft Office 365 suite of software programs, as well as experience in utilizing document management software.
- Strong project management skills to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
