District of Delaware Announces Senior Judge Sleet’s Retirement and Further Revisions to Case Assignment Procedures
On February 6, 2018, the District of Delaware announced new case assignment procedures in light of Senior Judge Sleet’s decision to retire from the bench this fall and the two judicial vacancies.
For the time being, Judge Sleet will continue to be assigned new civil cases, but the Court is beginning “the process of reassigning a portion of the civil cases currently on Judge Sleet’s docket, principally those scheduled for trial in 2018.” Shortly after the announcement, several of Judge Sleet’s cases were reassigned.
