NACD 2010 Corporate Governance Conference

Morris Nichols Corporate & Business Litigation Group partner Bill Lafferty will participate on the “Emerging Legal Trends” panel at the National Association of Corporate Directors’ (NACD) 2010 Corporate Governance Conference in Washington, DC, October 17-19, 2010. 

The panel will discuss new legal and regulatory developments involving compliance and disclosure that are likely to impact director liability and whether and how judicial standards in Delaware would be affected by these developments. The panel will also discuss directors’ duty of oversight, litigation of Delaware law issues in courts outside of Delaware, exclusive forum/venue provisions in corporate charters and bylaws, and recent developments in Delaware law relating to mergers and acquisitions.
