2021 AIPLA Women in Intellectual Property Virtual Networking Event
In cooperation with the American Intellectual Property Law Association, Morris Nichols will host a virtual gathering of Delaware-area women in IP as part of the 2021 AIPLA Women in Intellectual Property Law Global Networking Event on May 4, 2021.
Each year, the AIPLA celebrates women in the field of intellectual property law by coordinating simultaneous networking events taking place in more than 65 cities globally. This year, the program will be held virtually.
AIPLA women colleagues around the world will meet in parallel gatherings to discuss themes based on Michelle Obama’s book “Becoming.” The AIPLA Women in IP Committee has identified five themes from Obama’s nationwide bestseller. Each theme is based on her life experiences, and are very relevant to women in IP law. Morris Nichols' event will focus on the theme of Power, Privilege, and Responsibility: With power and privilege comes responsibility. As successful professionals, we are given a certain amount of privilege, and with privilege, comes responsibility. How can we use our position to help those around us?
