2017 ABA Business Law Section Annual Meeting

The Business Law Section of the American Bar Association hosts its 2017 annual meeting from Sept. 14-16 in Chicago. Morris Nichols is proud to sponsor the three-day conference. Many firm attorneys are active Business Law Section members and will attend the conference as speakers and committee leaders.

Two Morris Nichols partners serve as ABA committee chairs. Eric Klinger-Wilensky chairs the Private Equity and Venture Capital Committee. Tarik Haskins chairs Middle Market and Small Business Committee, as well as the Secured Lending Joint Subcommittee.

On Thursday, September 14, Rick Alexander will speak in the Private Equity and Venture Capital Committee academic program.

On Friday, September 15, Patricia Vella speaks in session, “Spotting Traps and Tripwires in the M&A Sales Process - M&A Governance Handbook Comes to the Rescue” presented by the ABA Joint Task Force on Governance Issues Arising in Business Combination Transactions.  Tarik Haskins and John DiTomo present at the Middle Market and Small Business program, “Funding a War of the Roses - Fundamentals of Director and Officer Insurance, Advancement and Indemnification in a Business Divorce.”
