2016 ABA Business Law Section Annual Meeting
The Business Law Section of the American Bar Association hosts the 2016 annual meeting from Sept. 8-10 in Boston. Many Morris Nichols attorneys are active Business Law Section members and will attend the conference as speakers and committee leaders.
On the first day of the conference, Eric Klinger-Wilensky and Don Parsons speak in the Private Equity and Venture Capital Committee session, “Valid Corporate Action: Avoiding Failures in Authorization and Ratifying Defective Corporate Acts.” Eric will become chair of PEVC committee at the conclusion of the annual meeting conference.
On Friday, September 9, Melissa DiVincenzo speaks in the M&A Committee session, “Post-M&A Dispute Arbitrations Appeals: Comparison & Contrast of Arbitrator Discretion, Fundamental Fairness and Witness Independence Versus the Brady-NFL ‘Deflate-Gate’ Court Decisions On Appeal-ability of Arbitrations” as well as the session on “Venture Backed M&A: Special Considerations.” Also on Friday, Don Parsons joins the International Expansion and Cross Border Transactions Subcommittee of the Middle Market and Small Business Committee for the panel, “Coming to America: What Your Foreign Clients Need to Know.”
