17th Annual International Conference on Private Investment Funds
From March 6 to 8, 2016, top legal, business and fund professionals from around the globe will gather in London for the International Bar Association’s 17th Annual International Conference on Private Investment Funds. The two-day conference will cover the current market and future of private investment funds, and the prospects of changes and updates to regulatory and tax regimes.
Morris Nichols partner Lou Hering will speak in the “Activist Funds” session on March 8. Panelists will explore the unique challenges of managing activist funds, including the choice between hedge, hybrid and private equity structures; the use and structure of one-off and pooled co-investment structures, including SPVs and managed accounts; regulatory filings; MNPI; investor concerns about confidentiality and reputational risk; and the rise of 'constructive' activism.
